The spinning cup ride ("Tea Cup" or "Crazy Cup") is a classic attraction introduced in the mid-20th century (first appearing at Disneyland in 1955) become a staple in amusement parks worldwide . The modernloped by the Italian company Preston & Barbieri (P&B) has incorporated technical improvements while preserving the original charm.
Since the early 2000s, P&B’s Crazy Cup rides have been installed in numerous parks (such as Mirabilandia in Italy and Phantasialand in Gestrating the attraction’s intch and enduring popularity). P&B’s Crazy Cup consists of a rotating platform approximately 12 meters in diameter, featuring four smaller turntables, each holding three spinning cups with a central wheel that allows passengers to control the rotation manually.
We introduced significant safety innovations: the cup gned to prevent injuries, such as finger entrapment, and cannot be opened by passengers during operation. This combination of classic experience and technical innovation has made Preston & Barbieri’s Crazd and enduring family attraction in amusement parks worldwide.
